Matt Wheelock, CFA, joined Canal Road Group in 2023 and serves as Managing Director and Co-Head of Research. Prior to joining Canal Road, Matt was a Managing Director and Pod Leader on CBAM’s Research Analyst team with over 11 years of experience in leveraged finance. Prior to joining CBAM in 2016, Matt spent his early career at Bank of America Merrill Lynch where he worked on the Global Credit and Special Situations desk as both trader and desk analyst covering a variety of sectors including TMT and Energy. Matt holds a B.A., with honors, in Economics with a Minor in Political Science from Middlebury College.
