Brendan R. McCourt joined Canal Road Group in 2023 and serves as a Managing Director and Head of Trading. Prior to Canal Road, Brendan was a Managing Director on CBAM’s trading team and had responsibility for managing the firm’s trade flow across corporate credit & equities in North America. He also served on CBAM’s valuation committee. Brendan joined CBAM in 2016 after 5 years at Och-Ziff where he focused on trading distressed & performing credit as well as equities. He began his career in 2008 at Lehman Brothers and then Barclays Capital post their merger. Brendan holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of South Carolina.
